Newburn HC is an accredited training practice and has held a long standing relationship with the University, allowing medical students vital experience in working in general practice. At the practice there is often a range of students at different stages of their training, including 4th & 5th years on block release from their University as well as FY1’s & FY2’s who are in the latter stages of their training.
Under the careful supervision of senior clinicians the students who attend Newburn for their training carry out routine telephone appointments and carry out face to face appointments. This all helps them to become the experienced and competent healthcare professionals of the future. Please note that you may well be dealt with by a student/foundation year doctor when in contact with the practice.
